Trail Policies

The Linda Loring Nature Foundation welcomes people of all ages and backgrounds to enjoy our property. Trails are free and open to the public from sunrise to sunset every day. Accessing the property is at your own risk; however, following these guidelines will help avert any unintended incidents. As part of our commitment to conserving the land and ensuring a safe and comfortable experience for all, we ask that all visitors follow these guidelines.

  • Please park in the designated lot and access the trails using the marked entrances.

  • Please stay on the mowed trails. This prevents disturbance to our native ecosystems and protects visitors from off-trail hazards.

  • Please do not pick any plants or take anything from nature home with you. Our native flora and fauna are meant to remain in nature.

  • Please do not litter, if you bring anything along with you, remember to pack it out.

Our property is designated as a wildlife sanctuary, a special place meant primarily to support native flora and fauna. As part of this designation, we have a conservation restriction on the property; a legal document that prohibits some activities which may pose a risk to the plants and animals found here.
