Summer Programs at the Linda Loring Nature Foundation
Complete Program Guide for 2018
Summer classes have concluded for 2018, check back in 2019 to sign up!
Kids in Nature Workshops
We offer fun classes for ages 6 to 10 focusing on a wide variety of science and nature topics! See our brochure and class descriptions for more information!
Offered weekly on Wednesday mornings at 8AM from May to October. LLNF leads participants to birding hotspots around the island and help them learn about the birds they see!
Plant and Nature Walks
Offered every Friday at 10AM during the summer. Explore the unique habitats of the LLNF property, discover our flora and fauna, and see what's in season as you walk along our gently rolling trail.
This is a family program. Kids are welcome but we require them to be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult. In this fun class we'll look for snakes and learn more about the on-going research we undergo to study the different species found at our property. Tuesdays at 2:30 PM during July and August.
Join Peter Brace, a local hiking guide, naturalist, and environmental writer for a tour of our property along with LLNF staff. We'll discuss the geologic and ecological history of the site. Thursdays at 1:30 PM during the summer.
Get your geek on at Science Picnic! Come hear a talk about local research and eat some snacks in a beautiful setting. Check out our events or follow us on Facebook for up to date speaker schedules.
